Painting at random...

Some random painting, a few NPCs frm Black tree (I think) and some TYW 28mm from  Warlord. Been experimenting with GWs Inks/Washes, trying to find a way to paint - 30 - 40 Normands for SAGA with least amount of effort. And just for the fun of it Im painting an other infantry unit for my TYW army, never to be palyed,

Complete, Generic/Dutch army TYW.

Finally I can put the TYW project on the shelf, of course I can allways add more to the project but at the time I WILL NOT...

Its painted as a generic TYW army but was intended to be Dutch army from the beginning and the theme sort of stuck.

Missing 4 banners but otherwise the army is finally complete.
Order of battle:
3 Command units/markers 80, 60 and 40mm circular bases
7 Pike and shotte regiments 2 bases of pikes and 4 bases of muskets and 24 minis per regiment
3 Cavalry regiments 4 bases and 12 models per regiment
3 Cuirassiers regiments 4 bases and 12 models per regiment
2 canon bases

All based for FOG:R (DBX standard), but is more likely to be played with the "No quarters" rules.

Painting
The army is primed with Army painter Brown Leather, and painted with mostly Vallejo model range with a few exceptions, then the minies then are inked with Devlan Mud from Games Workshop, see the painting Tutorial form more details.

Minies are mostly Warlord and a washing few numbers of Renegade minies.

Victory Without Quarters

Today We played as a complement to the more complex rules of FOG:R, the set of rules "Victory without quarter". It's written for ECW but we played it  with the intention of TYW. The wars are not that far apart and therefor no problems but the ECW is e light version of TYW, with fewer unit types and lesser soldiers.

The rules are quick and easy to learn, but we had to make up some house rule to increase the flow of the game, for instance changed so that the combat values never can be lower then 1+ and higher then 6+.
And then we have to tweek some of the unit types to make the game more adapted to TYW and the unit types used then.

We are going to play this agin this weekend and I will give you a deeper runt trough of the game then, and perhaps an Arr as well.

Here are some pictures of to days game, minis are mainly Perry Miniatures and Warlord miniatures, painted by Nils Idemalm and Ogge.
